Tottenham Boss Former /Nuno Espirito:::

NUNO ESPIRITO SANTO has been sacked after reporting to Tottenham’s training ground for the last time.

The Portuguese was spotted arriving at the Hotspur Way training centre on Monday under huge pressure.

And the Spurs chairman clearly decided enough was enough only four months into Nuno’s reign.

The club confirmed the 47-year-old’s departure in a short statement on their official website.

It read: “The Club can today announce that Nuno Espirito Santo and his coaching staff Ian Cathro, Rui Barbosa and Antonio Dias have been relieved of their duties.”

Spurs’ Managing Director of Football Fabio Paratici added: “I know how much Nuno and his coaching staff wanted to succeed and I regret that we have had to take this decision.

“Nuno is a true gentleman and will always be welcome here. We should like to thank him and his coaching staff and wish them well for the future.”

The boos rained down at the plush Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday as the hosts slumped to defeat at the hands of a similarly chaotic Manchester United.

Levy is now weighing up his options to replace ex-Wolves boss Nuno in north London.

Italian tactician Antonio Conte is one name being considered, despite the talks broke down with him this summer.

Erik ten Hag is also in the frame, although prising him from his Ajax project could prove difficult.

Brighton boss Graham Potter is a current Premier League option after impressing on the south coast.

And former manager Mauricio Pochettino is even being considered for a blockbuster return to the club he left in 2019.

Tottenham are next in Europa Conference League on Thursday against Vitesse – the side that embarrassed their second string last month.
